  If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, Happy Seasons is it! The food here is legit!! We found this little gem as my sister and I were exploring Manchester China town (this is our first visit to the UK). After traveling for an entire day to get from the US to Manchester, both of us were tired and hungry. We spotted Happy Seasons as we were deciding on where to get dinner. The roast duck hanging right by the window was a great sign that this place may have good food.
  
  The restaurant was tiny and was already half full at almost 5pm. The staff was friendly and greeted us right when we walked in. Apparently they had a Menu written in Chinese and one in English. They gave us a Chinese menu as soon as we asked in Cantonese for a table for 2. Since my sister didn't read Chinese, I asked for the English menu for her. I assumed that both menus were the same and just read off some dishes from the Chinese menu. We ordered half a roast duck, satay beef and vermicelli in clay pot, steamed meat cake with salted fish, and an order of steamed custard bun. (yes, they have a small selection of dim sum!)
  
  Roast duck was oh-so-delicious!!! The skin was crispy and meat was tender. The satay beef pot was good, but I was a bit disappointed that the portion was small. (Americans like big portions, mmmmkay? Don't judge me.) The salted fish wasn't that salty, but it was enough to flavor the meat cake and not stink up the restaurant like some salted fish I had in the past. The funny part was the non-Chinese customers kept looking over at our table  to check out our food, which made me think that they offer different dishes in the English menu. I have no proof of this as I never checked out the English menu.
  
  This place does not have service charge added to the bill like some places I saw in the area. Our bill came out to be little over £36. I would recommend this place any day.

  Pretty basic Canton restaurant. I ordered a simple rice with 2 BBQ items - roast pork and roast duck, and it was up to standard.
  
  Great place to be if you crave Asian BBQ.

  This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the world. Is very authentic and the food is of good quality. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars, they run out of the roast duck and roast pork most nights. It's the main reason I go there. If you go early and for lunch, you'll be fortunate to get the delicious roast meats. If you miss out, try anything else. You won't be disappointed.

  Food is good I've got to be honest but, space is soooooo cramped, long line outside waiting for your turn, worst if you have  a party  of more than 4 people. The beef brisket on steamed or fried rice was great but they've mistaken brisket to tendons. They served us tendons instead of the meat in a beef brisket. My father was a butcher so I know my meat parts. Someone correct the chinese guy on this. I gave then 3 stars only  because service was not really at par with great restaurants but the  food was good enough.

  Happy Seasons is my happy place. It will become your China Town staple, I guarantee it.
  
  What makes Happy Seasons one of my favorites is its authenticity. There is no overly glamourised hype or over-the-top atmosphere. You are there for GREAT food in good company, and I always respect an establishment that honours that.
  
  It is close quarters once you get inside, but it somehow doesn't feel as though you are cramped at all. It almost adds to it. As soon as you're sat, be prepared to get someone to serve you! On the weekends, its always a packed house so establish your dominance as soon as you sit down.
  
  Starters are a must as this place has the best salt & pepper spare ribs in town. Absolutely delicious. I would recommend getting the starter plate for two, which comes with the ribs, spring rolls, prawn toast, and crispy seaweed.
  
  The menu will take some time to get through, it boasts a wide variety of beef, duck, pork, chicken, seafood, noodles, and bbq dishes. I always tend to go for the Szechuan beef and fried rice (my mouth is watering as I'm typing this review, this isn't good).
  
  I can not stress enough how great the food is here. It is the place to go when you simply want to enjoy a delicious meal.
  
  Side tip: it is a first-come, first-serve kind of restaurant. On a Friday or Saturday evening, expect to be queuing up outside for a bit. They do have the menu displayed outside though and its quite lengthy, so take this time to reflect on all the yummy food you'll be ordering!
